About us
A lens for a changing world.
The Gender Lens is an independent youth-led platform established in 2025 to explore gender equality, women's rights, criminal justice, human rights, education and the social issues that shape everyday life.
We combine public education, research, storytelling and community initiatives. The platform is designed to make serious subjects accessible while encouraging young people to think critically, ask better questions and become active participants in their communities.
Our work includes educational content, short-form stories, long-form articles, research-based discussions and a growing volunteer education network. Through this network, students, teachers and volunteers can learn languages and academic subjects while contributing to projects with a wider social purpose.
At its heart, The Gender Lens is about connecting knowledge, justice and community — and creating a space where learning can lead to action.

The Gender Lens Volunteer Network brings together more than 100 students, teachers and volunteers who believe that education becomes more powerful when people learn and contribute together.
Our community connects learners from different backgrounds and creates opportunities to study languages, explore academic subjects, support educational initiatives and participate in projects that have a meaningful social purpose.

Our educational activities include international and foreign-language learning, with programmes and learning opportunities across 10+ languages, including English, German and Chinese.
Academic subjects
Alongside languages, the network provides learning opportunities across 5+ academic subjects, including mathematics and algebra, with additional subject-based lessons developing as the programme grows.
Recognition
Volunteers who contribute to our initiatives can receive certificates recognizing their participation and contribution to the project.
